Miniature Dachshund puppies are under 11 pounds when they are a year old.

An easy way to estimate the expected weight of a mini Dachshund puppy is to weigh it at exactly 12 weeks of age. Multiply that weight by 2 and that will give you the approximate adult size. Instead of singing, "Take me out to the ball park", we should try a refrain of "Take me out of the ball cap, take me out of the hat..."
